KIRTAN @ Cave Of The Heart

Please join The Kirtaneers this Sunday September 30th from 7-9pm at Cave of the Heart for a live Kirtan, located at 5957 Wyandotte Street East in the heart of Olde Riverside. This will be our first Kirtan in the new space and we would love to have you to help raise the vibration! Kirtan is part of Bhakti Yoga, which is the path of Love & Devotion. It is done in a call and response style, whereby we chant the many names of the Divine in Sanskrit. It is accompanied by live music, a light offering ceremony and Prasad (delicious vegan treat). It is by donation so please give from your heart! All proceeds will go to The Tchimpounga Chimpanzee Rehabilitation Centre in the Republic of Congo. This Centre is dedicated to rescuing and rehabilitating orphaned baby chimps who have lost their families due to the poaching industry. To honour this special organization and chimpanzees everywhere, we will be chanting the Hanuman Chalisa. This is a beautiful 40 verse poem written by the Indian Saint Tulsi Das and is dedicated to Lord Hanuman, the courageous Monkey deity in Hindu spirituality.
