Nada Yoga, the Yoga of Sound, involves deep listening. It uses pure sounds as a means of meditation. This pilgrimage through the body and mind will be guided via sound and vibration.
We will begin with body and breath awareness for grounding: then, you will be immersed in a soundscape. I will play many instruments, including:
• Singing bowls
• The Chakra Overtone Drum – The COD is a healing-musical instrument implemented on the research of Dr. Barbara Brennan, an American physicist, and pioneer in the field of energy healing. The COD is tuned to seven specific sound frequencies that resonate very accurately in the human energy centers – our chakras.
Bring props (mat, blankets, bolsters, eye pillow) to be as comfortable as possible, as it is strongly recommended that class be experienced in savasana (lying on your back). Also, bring a journal so that you can record any thoughts that may come to the surface. Namaste’
